Case Study: Hampton Court Palace — The Tudor Kitchens
For more than nine years, we’ve proudly supplied Hampton Court Palace, part of Historic Royal Palaces, with firewood for the world-famous Tudor Kitchens — one of the largest surviving 16th-century kitchens in Europe.
These remarkable kitchens are brought to life daily through live historical cooking demonstrations, recreating the sights, sounds and aromas of King Henry VIII’s royal banquets.
To support this, we supply specially sourced, locally harvested seasoned hardwood, split to traditional specifications exclusively for the Hampton Court team.
Our wood is chosen for its steady heat, clean burn and low smoke, allowing the cooks to safely use open hearths, spits and wood-fired ovens — just as they would have done more than 500 years ago.
In 2017–2018, we also worked with Scarlett Films during the filming of The Favourite at Hampton Court Palace, providing wood for the film’s period fires and on-set production requirements.
